Well, at least the mistake wasn’t on the stamp. A post office lobby poster announcing new USPS stamps that features the Transcontinental Railroad Stamp uses a 20th century British locomotive for artwork. Technically, the depiction is not an official fail since one could make the argument the poster only suggests that new stamps are arriving at the station. Nevertheless, the British locomotive stock image probably wasn’t the best choice for this poster.
