The day before Christmas, I found a dog cookie and a card in our mailbox. Before I even opened the card, I knew who had left it..and I was totally bawling! For years, we had a mail carrier who knew Auggie since a puppy and was never afraid of him. They were total homies. When we got assigned to new carriers, each one was more afraid than the next, including one who attempted to pepper spray Auggie (but fell backwards and started to roll down our lawn instead). When Pat came along, she was terrified of Auggie. We didn’t expect much from this relationship. But Pat went out of her way to conquer her fear and spoke to Auggie through our living room window, even though he always snarled and barked back at her. Eventually, Pat was ready to meet Auggie face to face and it was instaneous true love. So yes, Pat did leave that cookie and card for Auggie. Not only was that the sweetest, most kind thing ever – it was a marker for how far we have all come!! We finally saw Pat again today and we all had to go out a greet her. It’s hard making connections these days, when the world is much bigger and people go out of their way less and less. We are so blessed for Pat and people like Pat who go the extra mile. Our hearts are so full!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💗💗💗🤗🤗🤗 . . . . . . . . #usps #losangeles #la #mailcarrier #mail #mailman #mailwoman #maillady #mailbox #pitbull #pitbullsofinsta #pitbulls #pibbles #bullybreed #pitbull_love #pitbullgram_ #pitbulllove #pittie #pittielove #pitbulladvocate #dog #dogs #pitbullsofinstagram #feelgood #feelgoodstory #christmas #christmasspirit #heart #love #passiton
